Standard Delivery

Our Standard Delivery service gives you the peace of mind that we will deliver when we say we will. Our preferred standard delivery method is currently via the UPS Standard Service.* Our charge for all standard deliveries is £4.95.

UPS uses tracking numbers to identify and trace every shipment as it moves through the UPS system to its final destination. A tracking number is automatically assigned when we create your shipment, Langlands can:

  • Determine the current status of your shipment
  • Verify delivery of your shipment
  • Access delivery change options

To take advantage of the tracking service, please provide your email address at the checkout.

Your delivery will arrive at your home within 3-5 working days, please allow extra time to account for holiday periods. We currently Ship to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

*In some cases, we may use a different delivery service dependent upon size/quantity/weight of items ordered. In all cases, the delivery cost to the customer will be charged at £4.95. If these alternative services allow us to provide a tracking number/delivery status, we will do so.


Shipping Large or Bulky Items

For large or bulky products that are most securely delivered on a pallet, Langlands will either use a Langlands delivery van or highly respected transport company to deliver your items. You will be notified as to which carrier we will be using to ship your items as part of our post sale customer service.

Preparing for your delivery

Products that are being delivered on a pallet will be delivered to the kerbside or nearest access point to the address via a tail lift, where this is logistically possible. As Langlands Nurseries uses external delivery companies, it is ultimately up to the delivery driver's discretion. When placing an order for bulky items, please make sure that you have adequate means to receive and handle these items when the delivery arrives, and that you are able to dispose of pallets and packaging appropriately and responsibly. Most delivery companies neither remove pallets and packaging nor assist with moving items beyond the initial delivery to the premises. Please be aware that in all cases, however, exact delivery arrangements for palletised items may differ depending on the courier.

Tracking your Pallet

In most cases, you will be provided with a tracking number and consignment details so that both you and Langlands can track the progress of your bulky deliveries. Please make a note of this, and any additional delivery information you receive from either ourselves or our nominated courier. Please be aware that large and heavy items can take up to 10 working days to deliver, especially during particularly busy periods. If you would like to arrange an express delivery, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What happens if my pallet can't be delivered?

In the event that the customer is unable to receive the item because a) the premises cannot be accessed and/or b) if the customer is not present when the delivery arrives, then the goods can be returned to the nearest depot, who will contact us, and we will contact you via the details you have provided (usually email and telephone) to arrange a redelivery. Please be aware that this may incur an additional charge, which you will be notified of prior to redelivery confirmation.

Is there anywhere we can't deliver?

We currently have the facility to deliver to anywhere in mainland England or Wales, and most of mainland Scotland. However, if you need a delivery to the following postcodes, our palletised delivery service may not be possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, though we hope to extend our delivery opportunities in the near future.

ZE, HS, KW, IV, AB , BT, IOW, GY, JE, IM, PA, DD, PH, GY, JE, Isle of White (postcodes PO30 - PO41).

How long will it take?

We aim to despatch orders the following working day. Therefore orders placed on a Friday afternoon may despatched on Monday. Once despatched, orders should be received within 10 working days. Exceptions exist for bank holidays and other holiday periods, which may result in a slightly longer delivery time. Delivery periods may also be affected by stock levels. If for any reason your order is delayed, we will contact you as soon as possible to notify you. In most cases, we aim to deliver to UK mainland addresses from Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm unless otherwise stated.


Langlands Click & Collect Service

Simply select your products and make your purchase online, then collect your order in-store.

Orders placed before 10pm will be available to collect the next day after 2pm, 7 days a week. We will do our best to meet our stated collection times but they cannot be guaranteed - this is subject to stock availability in your chosen store. If your order is delayed we will contact you.

How it works

  1. Step 1: - Purchase Online
    Select your items and add them to your basket. During the checkout process please select the store you wish to collect your order from.
  2. Step 2: - Receive our order confirmation email
    Please ensure you either print your order confirmation email or are able to access it digitally.
  3. Step 3: - Collect your order
    Visit the Information Desk at your chosen Langlands store.

Collecting Your Order

When you visit the store to collect your products, please bring a copy of your order confirmation email (either printed or electronic), and the card you used to purchase online. We'll check the details and give you your order.

Your order will be available for collection for 14 days, Orders not picked up within 14 days will be returned to stock and you will be refunded automatically. Please allow up to 2 weeks for this.

Someone collecting on your behalf

If you would like someone else to collect your order on your behalf, they need to bring the confirmation email (either printed or on their phone) along with their own photo ID.


Returns

Orders can be returned subject to our returns policy. All returns must be done in store. Click & Collect orders can be returned to the store you collected your item(s) from.


Loyalty Card Customers

Loyalty Card privileges such as our Loyalty Offer Discounts, and the spending of Loyalty Points are only applicable to in-store purchases.


Age Restrictions

When purchasing Age-Restricted items, you may be required to provide proof of age upon collection / delivery. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.
